The Mosque and Islamic Center of Hampton Roads serves as a spiritual and educational center for the Muslim community and as a cultural center for the community at large. Activities include daily and Friday prayers, weekend Islamic school for children, and weekly interactive multimedia sessions. The mosque was completed in 1983 and officially opened April 21, 1984.
