Masjid-ut-Taqwa was founded in 1996 by pioneers from the Sri Lankan Muslim community to serve as a place of worship and religious education in downtown Toronto. It serves all Sunni Muslims regardless of culture or nationality, offering daily prayers, Islamic education, a full-time Hifz class, Sunday school, counseling, and Nikah services.
