The Islamic Center of Petaluma was established in 1989. Its humble beginnings were in a local muslim family's garage where the local muslims of Petaluma and Sonoma county could congregate. In 2000, the center purchased a facility on Bassett Street and currently has Imam Ahmad Ali as its resident Imam.
