The Al Hedaya Islamic Center (founded as Muslim Society of Greater Danbury Inc.) was founded in June 2009 as a private summer gathering in Newtown CT and evolved into a multi-cultural Muslim community reflecting values of moderation, education and outreach. The community includes about 50 Muslim households from diverse ethnic and national backgrounds.
